Independent India’s Economic Policy

How economic policies were made and at what basis both in terms of political and economics sense?

Shiv Visvanathan says:

• “Nehru was apt as our first PM, patriarch of a dynasty that has ruled India with almost absent minded confidence.
• The political mindset of the Congress was so absent-minded it did not notice the appropriation.”

Almost all have said now that the Nehru economic policy was arbitrary, flawed and had has no commonsense in a holistic way. He was failed to understand what Professor B R Shenoy and Professor Milton Friedman was talking about. The result is we are facing, let’s face for another half century!
