The former finance minister and BJP leader Yashwant Sinha said “Mr Chidambaram has no right to give so much pain to the aam aadmi, the markets and the economy,”. And Mr Sinha demanded to know why the finance minister was speaking on behalf of the market regulator. “We demand that there should be an enquiry into the finance minister’s statement yesterday in order to find out who all are the people who have made money out of it,” Mr Sinha said”.
India is also home to “one of the worst in the world with around 100,000 people killed in traffic accidents last year alone. The World Bank estimates that every year road accidents cost India about 3 per cent of its gross domestic product which was more than $1 trillion in 2007”.
